Comment

In my opinion, technology has envolved so many aspects and in  different ways. What I mean by this is that, thanks to technology we can communicate from anywhere in the world, make new friends and find old friends.

But on the other hand  technology can create a lot of problems to people like addiction to the social networks, like facebook and Instagram, vision problems, and other dangers of the internet like hackers, photos and the shares we post, because we do not know who is on the other side of the screen.

Cuckoo Day

This annual celebration welcomes the return of the Cuckoo to Marsden (City in the North East of England). It is the spring arrival, around mid-April.
This day is celebrated with art workshops, a craft fair, making flag, a procession to the mast village (Fig.2) and a typical English dance called Morris.
There is a legend that refers that when you hear the cuckoo singing, you must drop coins to the ground.  In the case of dropping in land it means good luck but in hard ground it means bad luck.
In order to last this  time people create walls/fences in order to maintain it.
To celebrate Cuckoo’s Summer life cycle they created a song:
In April I open my bill
In May I sing night and day
In June I change my tune
In July far far I fly
 In August away I must

April Fool’s Day

April’s Fool is a day celebrated in the 1st of April.

In the UK, an April Fool joke is revealed by shouting "April fool!" at the recipient, who becomes the "April fool". A study in the 1950s found that in the UK, and in countries whose traditions derived from the UK, the joking ceased at midday. A person playing a joke after midday is the "April fool" themselves.

Ballet

When we were four years old we  started dancing in different academies. Maria was in “Pezinho de dança” Academy, and Eva was in “Lisboa Ginásio Clube”.  But about three months ago  Eva moved to “Pezinho de dança” Academy to be with her school fellow.
In ballet, we have to use a maillot, collants, and a skirt. We also have to use ballet shoes.
We love dancing because...
·        … It’s the only way to forget all the problems we have in our lives (Maria);
·        ... I feel that nobody can stop me (Eva);
·        ... I feel happy when I do it (Maria);
·        ... I feel free, like a bird (Eva);
We hope you have enjoyed.
You have to try it.

My experience in London

On February 19th I went to London. I was so excited! It was my 4th time in London and I could not believe I'd go back. The night before the trip I could not even sleep.
The trip was two hours and half. When I arrived there it was very late and I just needed a bed.

On the next day I had a walk on Regent’s Park. Then I went to Camden Town and went to my favourite shop in London, Cyberdog. It is a very strange store, where everything shines. I bought a new T-Shirt and went to a shoe store where I bought a pair of boots.

I had lunch on a little village called Berkhamsted, and then I went to the hotel.  On the evening I went to Piccadilly.

On the 2nd day I went to London Eye and I made a cruise on the river Thames. On the afternoon I went to the Buckingham Palace.

On the 3rd day I walked on Covent Garden and Hyde Park.

On the 4th day I went to the Tower Bridge and had to go back to the airport after lunch. I loved this experience because I had to speak in English and I saw things that I am always seeing on books and magazines.
